Dr. Paul sh. Yazbek

Dr. Paul S. Yazbek graduated from the American University of Beirut (A.U.B.) in 1993 with an M.D. His post-graduate training includes a 5 year residency and chief resident in oto-rhino-laryngology, facial plastic surgery at the A.U.B.-Medical center. He pursued several training courses and clinical attachments in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Lasers and Facial Plastic Surgery in London, U.S.A., Jordan and Egypt.

Dr. Yazbek has special interests in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, primary and redo Rhinoplasty operations (Nose job), as well as Snoring treatment. He is a member of several societies including The Lebanese Order of Physicians, the Lebanese Society of Otolaryngology.

He has published articles in local and international Medical journals.

Dr. Paul Yazbek is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery [ AAFPRS ]

The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the world's largest specialty association for facial plastic surgery. It represents more than 2,700 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world. The AAFPRS is a National Medical Specialty Society of the American Medical Association (AMA), and holds an official seat in both the AMA House of Delegates and the American College of Surgeons board of governors. AAFPRS members are board certified surgeons whose focus is surgery of the face, head, and neck. AAFPRS members subscribe to a code of ethics.

Specialization in medicine has been one of the major enhancements in patient care over the last generation. AAFPRS members not only have a precise focus in patient care but they also have had more comprehensive training in facial surgery than any other medical specialty.

The European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (formerly known as The Joseph Society and as the European Academy of Facial Surgery) was founded in 1977. Its purposes are to create a body of duly qualified surgeons who have had training and experience in plastic and/or reconstructive surgery of the face and neck. Its objectives are to stimulate study, research and scientific advancement in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery between all the specialties that have common interests.

These specialties typically being oto-rhino-laryngology, maxillo-facial surgery, ophthalmology and general plastic surgery. The Academy is mainly for surgeons in Europe, although it does have some interested members from outside Europe. The official language of the Academy is English. The Academy has been involved in the European Community in identifying facial plastic surgery as an entity and is active in promoting appropriate training schemes for trainees in the subspecialty of facial plastic surgery.
